BCCI has announced the Indian Cricket Players Salaries for the 2024 season. The Indian Cricket Players Salary are divided into four classes A+, A, B, and C respectively. The grading system is for the players to promote or demote on the basis of their performance in the last season.

The grading list is centrally controlled and observed under the BCCI.  The grade A+ players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah earns Rs 7 crore per year as retainer ship fees plus match fees. Here’s the complete list for the Indian Cricket Players Salary 2024.

The salary of each team grade is determined as Grade A+ (Rs 7 Crore), Grade A (Rs 5 crore), Grade B (Rs 3 crore) and Grade C (Rs 1 Crore). If a player who is not on the list of contracted players plays a minimum of three matches Test/ODI/T20I, he will be promoted to the Superior Grade respectively.

Distribution of Annual Player Contracts Team India (Men):

Grade A-plus players (Rs 7 crore): Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah

Grade A players (Rs 5 crore): Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara, Hardik Pandya, Ishant Sharma, KL Rahul,  Mohammed Shami, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Rishabh Pant, and Shikhar Dhawan

Grade B players (Rs 3 crore): Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mayank Agarwal, Shardul Thakur, Umesh Yadav, and Wriddhiman Saha

Grade C players (Rs 1 crore): Axar Patel, Deepak Chahar, Hanuma Vihari, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohd. Siraj, Navdeep Saini, Shreyas Iyer, Shubman Gill, Washington Sundar, and Yuzvendra Chahal.

Grade A players (Rs 50 Lakhs): Ms Mithali Raj, Ms Harmanpreet Kaur, Ms Smriti Mandhana and Ms Poonam Yadav

Grade B players (Rs 30 Lakhs):Ms Ekta Bisht, Ms Jhulan Goswami, Ms Shikha Pandey, Ms Deepti Sharma and Ms Jemimah Rodrigues

Grade C players (Rs 10 Lakhs):Ms Radha Yadav, Ms D Hemalatha, Ms Anuja Patil, Ms Veda Krishnamurthy, Ms Mansi Joshi, Ms Punam Raut, Ms Mona Meshram, Ms Arundhati Reddy, Ms Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Ms Taniya Bhatia and Ms Pooja Vastrakar.

Contract Changes

BCCI announced that have been downgraded the Indian spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav to the Grade C category from Grade B and Grade A respectively. The players such as Axar Patel, Mohammed Siraj, and Shubman Gill have got the central contract of BBCI based on their last season’s performance.

How Salary of Indian Cricketers Calculated?

Match Fee: Every individual player who plays an international match for the country is provided with the match fee. Match fee is the same for all the squad members.

Team Performance Bonuses: Performance Rewards are also given by the BCCI to the individual players if they score a Fifty or a Century against the top 3 ranking teams in the world. The Hike is 30-60% in their overall salary.

Retainer Fee: Retain Fee is guaranteed yearly retainer which will be paid to all cricketers in the central contract according to their grade A+, A, B, C and D

Individual Performance Bonuses:  Performance related bonuses are also rewarded for example Rs 500,000 for scoring a hundred in a test or ODI, Rs Rs 700,000 for a double hundred in the test. Rs 500,000 for 5 wicket haul in Test, ODI or T20 and Rs 700,000 for taking a 10 wicket haul in test matches.

Virat Kohli is the highest-paid Indian cricketer based on the contract from BCCI, his won investments, partnership with various brands and endorsement deals.
