The Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) set to start from April 9 while the final is on May 30 as the official IPL 2024 time table and schedule are released by the governing council. Last year, the tournament was held in the UAE due to the COVID-19 pandemic but the 2024 season to be concluded in India with some restrictions.
Defending champions Mumbai Indians to play against the Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai. IPL 2024 schedule to feature 56 league matches and the knockout will take place in Ahmedabad from May 25 to May 30 behind closed doors.
The league is returning home but will not be played in the home and away format like other seasons. As per reports, the tournament to conduct in the five cities. IPL 2024 Schedule
According to the official updates, IPL 2024 is scheduled to start on April 9, 2024. BCCI has announced the IPL 2024 time table. The matches to kick off at 7.30 pm IST while the afternoon matches will start at 3.30 pm IST. The matches to take place in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai.

IPL 2024 Venue
Last year, IPL had was played behind closed doors due to the pandemic but the 2024 IPL season will once allow the fans in the stadium with half of its capacity.
There is no confirmation about the venue from the BCCI as they are waiting for the assurance from the state governments before allowing the stadium to host IPL matches.

IPL 2024 Time Table
VIVO once again will be the official IPL 2024 title sponsor and there will be the same eight teams – Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, KingsXI Punjab.
- VIVO IPL 20241 to be played from April 11 and the final will be played on June 6 on limited venues due to Covid-19.
- Due to the increase in Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra, Mumbai Indians may need to play matches outside their home venue.
- IPL 2024 matches to start at 8 PM once again, unlike last season where the games started from 7.30 PM due to the time difference.
- Kings XI Punjab will be now seen in a new avatar as the franchise renamed to Punjab Kings.
- Chris Morris bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 16.25 crore is now the most expensive player in the IPL history.
- Former India skipper MS Dhoni (CSK) is expected to end his their career after the IPL 2024.
