IPL Auction 2024 Date and Venue
The IPL Auction 2024 will take place at Kolkata on December 19 this year. Usually, Bengaluru has been the most preferred venue for the auction. But, BCCI decided to go for a change this year. This year’s auction will be the last small auction before all the franchises prepare a fresh squad next year. The auction for IPL 2024 will be a mega auction. The reason behind it is that in 2024, the franchises will disband themselves and create a completely fresh squad. The last mega auction took place for IPL 2018.
Current window to close on 14th November
The current transfer window open for trading will close on 14th November this year. Originally, the franchises were allotted Rs. 85 crore (approx. US $12 million) to build the squads. Every side will have an additional purse of Rs. 3 crore too.
