The first game of the season is set to begin with a match between Kerala Blasters and ATK-Mohun Bagan FC. Bartholomew Ogbeche scored both the goals for the side. Carl McHugh scored the only goal for Atletico de Kolkata. The second match of the season was held at a draw between Bengaluru FC and NorthEast United.

ISL Sponsors

ISL has five brands on board as a commercial partner. Title sponsors Hero and associate partner Maruti Suzuki have existing multiple years deals, whereas, Apollo Tyres, Dream 11 and bottled drinking water brand Bisleri have signed in the official partner’s category. Nivia is the official ball of the tournament.

Four new coaches in the tournament

Atletico de Kolkata, Kerala Blasters, Jamshedpur FC, and NorthEast United have appointed new coaches for this season. ATK have roped in Antonio Lopez Habas of Spain, Dutch Eelco Schattorie will be the boss of the Kerala Blasters and Jamshedpur have signed Spaniard Antonio Iriondo. NorthEast United has signed Croatian Robert Jarni.
