Now let’s see what Top 5 teams out of this list have the best chance to win super bowl:
1. Minnesota Vikings
History: Lost to Chiefs in Super Bowl IV, Dolphins in Super Bowl VIII, Steelers in Super Bowl IX, Raiders in Super Bowl XI.
They’ve got good players in skill positions. They have an excellent, talented defence with a great defensive head coach. The only thing they need is for Kirk Cousins to be slightly better than mediocre.
2. Buffalo Bills
History: Lost to Giants in Super Bowl XXV, Redskins in Super Bowl XXVI, Cowboys in Super Bowl XXVII, XXVIII.
Bills’ right off-season decisions in recent years began to pay off last season, leaving Buffalo in a position to compete in the AFC. The team has a top defence, a solid offensive line depth, an eye-popping triplet of wide-outs, and a solid running game.
3. Tennessee Titans
History: Lost to Rams in Super Bowl XXXIV
Although the Titans may not have as many superstars or as much offensive depth as the other teams on this list, their on-the-field organization makes them a formidable opponent.
4. Houston Texans
There’s a ton of star power in the Texans. They’re consistently making the playoffs. They’re ready to take the next step. The only thing that can hold the Texans back is an injury because they don’t have a great depth. Every single one of their stars comes off due to injury or could be characterized as injury-prone. They still have an experienced coach who’s been coaching the Patriots before, of course, and have enough star power to make an impact if they stay healthy.
5. Atlanta Falcons
History: Lost to Broncos in Super Bowl XXXIII, Patriots in Super Bowl LI
It is a deep team built with an explosive offensive and speed on defence. Additionally, Ryan and Julio Jones are still among the best players at their positions. Falcons is a team that’s trending down, but it still has the firepower to go on a remarkable run at any time.
